Associated Press releases NFT collection on Binance
Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that The Associated Press has launched a collection of NFTs on its marketplace. The launch is a huge boost for the Binance marketplace, which is seeking to become a dominant player in the NFT sector.
In a blog post earlier today, Binance said,
The Binance NFT Marketplace is thrilled to announce the launch of “The AP Unique Moments” Premium NFT Collection from 2021-10-19 12:00 PM (UTC) to 2021-10-26 12:00 PM (UTC)!
Per the blog post, the unique collection is curated by MetaList Lab, which has been authorized by the Associated Press, an independent global news organization. Furthermore, each NFT features Associated Press’s most important news over the past 100 years, spotlighting an array of milestones in space, global conflicts, science and more.

Binance users now have the chance to win a limited edition of “AP’s Reach” Special NFT Card! The crypto exchange highlighted a few tasks for users to do to qualify for the NFT card.
The NFTs are available as mystery boxes, with each sold for BUSD 29 (Binance’s stablecoin). There are four different levels of rarity to the NFTs; normal, rare, super rare, and super super rare. The collection is set to drop at noon UTC time on Thursday, and each Binance account will be allowed to buy up to 25 boxes.
Crypto exchanges are entering the NFT game
The last few months have seen massive growth in the NFT sector. In the third quarter, the total NFT trading volume topped the $10 billion mark for the first time. As a result, numerous exchanges are entering the NFT game.
Coinbase announced plans to launch an NFT marketplace while FTX.US also launched an NFT marketplace to trade Solana-based NFTs.
