This latest development comes a few days after Coinbase added support for the token on its professional trading platform. Shiba was supposed to go live on Coinbase Pro in June but was delayed due to a technical issue.

The price of SHIB has been up by more than 30% since Coinbase announced that it had added the coin to the Coinbase.com platform. Shiba Inu is an Ethereum based decentralized meme token and was created to provide stiff competition to fellow meme coin Dogecoin. In the past year, SHIB has been up by 877,7110.7%

Coinbase has stepped up its game this year and remains committed to listing coins faster than in the past. The cryptocurrency exchange has listed numerous cryptocurrencies on its trading platforms since the start of the year.
