The current Formula 1 World Championship leader Max Verstappen is the star in a new Bitcoin ad from Cash App.

Max Verstappen learns about the basics of Bitcoin

With the recruitment of Max Verstappen as a foreman to promote Bitcoin on the Cash App, the fintech company seems to be fully committed to Bitcoin. In the stunning commercial, Verstappen learns about the basics of Bitcoin in just over 30 seconds as he races around the track in his Formula 1 car. It just goes to show how big the industry has become in a short amount of time. Max’s lessons on Bitcoin, all in the spirit of Formula 1, are called “Cash App Speed Lessons.”B

It seems that two more videos about crypto are planned for in the coming weeks. One is about the value of Bitcoin in the current macroeconomic environment, and the other is about trading cryptocurrencies within the Cash App. Earlier this year, Cash App partnered with Red Bull for two years.

Formula 1 is moving to cryptocurrency sponsors

It looks like cryptocurrencies and Formula 1 go hand in hand, as partnerships are on the rise. Earlier this year, Tezos partnered with Red Bull and McClaren to launch digital collectibles. But that’s not all crypto exchange crypto.com partnered with Formula One in July during the 2021 Sprint Series, and recently FTX felt it could not be left behind, announcing that it was partnering with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team. According to FTX, the partnership will “cover multiple seasons of racing,” and the FTX logo will be ” prominently displayed” by both the cars and drivers.”

All these partnerships show that the crypto market is maturing and becoming more present in people’s daily lives. This is not only seen in Formula 1 but across the entire sports industry as crypto exchanges are partnering with almost every significant sports entity and are putting up NFT projects for their fans to collect. A Formula 1 fan will have a hard time avoiding the presence of all these crypto companies and may start collecting NFTs of their favorite teams.
